TRAINING FOR IMPACT.

TRAINING FOR RESULTS.

CORPORATE TRAINING CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

Are you a subject matter expert who is ready to package your experience into a top-notch corporate training program?

Are you a current trainer who wants to sharpen your skills and kick imposter syndrome to the curb?

Do you want to create extraordinary learning events to significantly increase participants’ engagement and success rate?

Are you tired of investing your time and resources in lackluster training that promised you the stars and moon, but you left the program without learning anything applicable to your actual career?

If you said “yes” to any of the above questions, I have the perfect solution for you—Extraordinary Learning Academy Train-the-Trainer Certification Program. This live eight-week virtual program is for professionals who want to create impactful training that will set them apart from the crowd. No more boring, ineffective training!

If you are an “experienced” trainer who has never received formal training in adult learning and instructional design, this certification program is for you too. You’re tired of feeling inadequate and that your training is not meeting your clients’ needs… we can change that immediately.

Here is the real deal…

Effective training is more than brain dumping everything that you know about a topic into a PowerPoint presentation. In my program, I will give you the blueprint on how to create extraordinary training that creates tangible results for your students.

Before you design any training, you must analyze the learner. You must have learning objectives. You must evaluate whether your training was effective—and I’m not talking about whether students liked your class. The bottom line is whether students learned a new skill to enhance their job performance. Period.

In my program, I give you my recipe for participant engagement… and it’s not what you think. Let me let you in on a little secret. You have to prep your learners before they even step into your classroom. You have to cultivate their mindset to be ready to learn. Real learning takes place outside the classroom.

WHO AM I?

Blackblazer14.jpg

Hi! I’m Deadra Welcome

As an experienced trainer who has over 25 years of experience, I am passionate about assisting individuals to design extraordinary training that creates impact and real results. I was once in your shoes—I like to call myself the accidental trainer because it fell into my lap, but along the way, I perfected my skills and now I am a sought-out trainer who takes pride in my learners’ success.

There might be a small voice in your head that is asking yourself,

Can I really become a corporate trainer?”

My answer is a resounding YES

✔      If you are a process-oriented individual who understands that as a trainer it is not about overwhelming your students with information, but rather you are learner-focused and you want your students to get REAL results. This is a no-fluff zone.

✔      You are ready to put in the work! This is not a certification program where you can coast through. To obtain your certification, you will be required to facilitate a lesson, create a participant guide, and an instructor’s guide.

✔      You are coachable. Just because you’ve been doing it that way for years doesn’t mean you can’t improve. You can, but you need to be open and receptive to change. Learning occurs every day; therefore, be open to expanding your skillset. The possibilities are endless.

What Clients Are Saying…

“Train the Trainer” was a phrase that an EEO Director I worked for years ago suggested was the best way to make sure that your team of professionals was offered the best chance at success. Concerning Learning, and its owner Deadra Welcome, offer such a service for today’s progressive workforce. She has designed an online - as well as face-to-face - instructional design that is not only technologically advanced but also user-friendly. Developing and empowering those who manage the frontline of businesses, non-profits, or anyone wanting to brand or market themselves in today’s competitive economic environment would do well to entrust the services of Concerning Learning. Guaranteed solutions for you now and in the future! ”

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Week 1: Assessing Learning Needs and Writing Learning Objectives

Analyzing your participants’ needs to inform how you will create your training and learning objectives is critical for ensuring their success in the classroom.

Week 2: Developing Training and Materials

Training requires intentionality and making sure that it is in alignment with the learning objectives. Learning materials such as slides, guides, and handouts should always enhance the participant's learning experience.

Week 3: Facilitating and Evaluating Training

There is a correlation between the effectiveness of a trainer’s facilitation and learner engagement. The more dynamic the facilitation, the rate of engagement and learning increases. Evaluations should be based on whether learning occurred, not based on whether participants liked the class.

Week 4:  Assessment for Certification

Participants will demonstrate their training capabilities by preparing and facilitating a lesson and creating training materials. If satisfactory, participants will receive their Train-the-Trainer certification.

In addition to the live instruction and group coaching, participants have three individual coaching sessions that they can utilize to receive individualized feedback.

“I worked with Deadra Welcome on the Metro DC Chapter of ASTD Board of Directors, when I served as President-Elect, President, and President-Past. During this time, I learned of Deadra’s exceptional ISD, business, and leadership skills. Over those three years, Deadra was the Director of Special Interest Groups and Director of Professional Development. She organized the SIG portfolio, led the SIG leaders, coordinated high-quality professional development workshops, and created a CPLP study group. As a result of her efforts, the chapter was awarded the Chapter Excellence Award in addition to accomplishing a 100% passage rate of the Knowledge Exam for members who were actively engaged in the group. Deadra also designed, developed, and managed the Mentoring Partnership Program which participants found to be beneficial. I continue to work with Deadra and see other exemplary aspects of her work including quality products and programs she creates.”
