Meet our President/CEO, Deadra Welcome. She has over 20 years of experience as a learning strategist, business partner, program manager, facilitator, and professional specialist. Deadra is a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM), and Certified Performance Consultant. As a Master Trainer, she holds certificates in instructional design/development, performance consulting, and blended learning as well as holds a Bronze-Level Kirkpatrick Partners Certification. Deadra utilizes her skills to implement and execute innovative solutions to achieve optimal levels or organizational performance.She has trained thousands of people in corporations, non-profit entities, and government agencies on business, human resources, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), and leadership development topics to achieve improved organizational and individual performance. Deadra is also the author of Don't Get Left Behind and founder of the Extraordinary Learning Academy,
where she trains other trainers to design, develop, and deliver inspiring, engaging, and actionable learning experiences. Deadra has been a member of ATD since 2006 and an active member of the Metro DC Chapter since 2010. She served as the chapter's first VP of Learning in 2016, and has served on the Advisory Committee as well as the Director of Special Interest Groups (SIGs), Director of Professional Development, and Mentoring Partnership Program Manager for the Metro DC Chapter of the Association for Talent Development (ATD). Deadra has expanded her volunteer work and contributions to support National ATD initiatives. She was selected to serve as a member of the ATD Leaders Conference Program Advisory Committee for two consecutive years (2015 & 2016).
